Rapper Numskull, one half of the group The Luniz, was recently charged with twelve felony charges for an assault back in April of last year. Numskull has been in jail since January.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the 34-year-old rapper (real name: Garrick Demond Husbands) has been hit with a variety of charges for assaulting an unknown woman referred to only as Jane Doe in Alameda County Superior Court documents on April 7, 2007.

The charges include two counts of sodomy by use of force, several counts of corporal injury, criminal threats, vandalism and possession of a firearm by a felon.

His status as a convicted felon stems from a 1993 conviction for drug sales.

Details surrounding the incident are sketchy, and at press time Numskull's camp could not be reached for comment.

Num's bail has been set at $245,000 and is slated to appear at a pre-trial hearing on June 18. He faces 25 years to life for the sex charges and would have to register with the State of California as a sex offender.

As a part of The Luniz, Numskull enjoyed platinum success thanks to the 1995 smash hit, "I Got 5 On It." Since then, he and his Luniz partner Yukmouth have went on to pursue solo careers, both of which have released indie albums.

It's definately a sad situation. WHat's even more sad is alot of you who still smoke and do what you do to "I got 5 on it" are being so judgemental before the case has even went to trial. Yes it's sad for the lady, if these allegations prove to be true. But to his defense, this was no random act; They were in a relationship, and there is a possibility she was upset about him leaving her? None of us was there. However, like one said below, How would you feel if you were in the situation, and you were being judged just because you are famous! For all of you that are passing judgement:" Do unto other's as you would have them do unto you"!!! Let the case speak for itself and all you judgemental people shut the hell up, and stop Downloading.....

Well he's a sex offender and I don't like them because they destroy people's lives. So if he's found gulity he need to do time, every bit of it. His rap sheet goes all the way back to '93. He obviously has problems wheather he's innocent until proven guilty. He's the type who will keep commenting crimes until he's found gulity.

For all of you "perfect people" who are so judgemental about someone you don't even know, I hope you never find yourself in a situation where you'd like to be given the benefit of the doubt. This man was raised in a good, loving family. His parents are both professional, respectable hard working people which goes to the comment that he should have had better role models. He has children, parents, family and extended family all over the country who love him with all their hearts. You should all be so loved and revered. I am so grateful that God is the only judge that matters. May He bless you all.
