Miami rapper and nightclub owner, Stack$, escaped serious injury from a near fatal accident on Friday night (May 30) in Miami, Florida after colliding with another car on a freeway overpass.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., Stack$ (real name: Yannique Barker) and an associate collided with another vehicle on the 195 overpass heading towards I-95 North. The rapper's Ford Explorer spun into a 360 degree spiral parallel to oncoming traffic.

After crashing into the bridge's barriers at high speeds, the vehicle's tail-end was shot in the air, nearly tipping the vehicle over a 40 feet descent that lay below.

Miami Police and local paramedics arrived shortly after and directed traffic and inspected the scene. According to a press release, Stack$ suffered second degree burns, chiropractic injuries, a broken hand, and several cuts and bruises.

"I'm very lucky and thankful to be alive," the rapper said.

He and his associate were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where stayed overnight and released the following day. Stacks$ is currently recovering in the privacy of his South Beach residence.

He is co-owner of Miami based label Sobe Entertainment, which has release albums from Brooke Hogan and recently signed reggae acts Jah Cure and Junior Reid.

Stack$ has also worked with the likes of Lil Wayne, Scott Storch, Swizz Beatz and The Game.
