Remy Ma and the woman she allegedly shot last year spoke out on New York radio on Thursday (May 15), giving listeners both sides of the story.
The alleged victim, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, called into Miss Jones Hot 97 morning show, giving her account of what happened during that infamous night in Manhattan, noticeably shaken up while speaking.
"It was me and Remy in that car. I know who shot me," Barnes-Joseph said while crying. "My stomach is crazy! I don't even know if I can have kids -- I might not be able to have kids."
Following her tear jerking explanation, Remy Ma called in to respond. However, there was no apology and/or regrets. She maintains her innocence despite being found guilty in the case, and sentenced to eight years in prison.
"I was there. I'm not agreeing with y'all and telling you I'm wrong and I'm sorry for something I didn't do," Remy exclaimed. "I don't gotta shoot no girls -- girls!?"
"It's nothing. I'm forever innocent. I don't care if 12 million jury say I'm guilty. I'll be home in a minute," Remy said.
The rapper is planning to appeal the decision.
According to the NY Post, Lauren Ra ysor, Barnes-Joseph’s lawyer, revealed that her client will be filing a lawsuit against Remy Ma. She had previously filed an $80 million civil-suit against the rapper in December, but she later withdrew the suit.
