As the saying goes, the rich just get richer.

50 Cent, the man who made a reported $200 million from his deal with Vitamin Water, is now said to be in negotiations with the Rupert Murdoch founded News Corp for a reported $300 million.

According to ThisIs50.com, the deal would go into effect in 2009, in which News Corp would take a large stake in all aspects of the 50 Cent brand -- including music, books, concerts, and his G-Unit label.

The deal would help launch the company's MySpace Records, as 50 and his G-Unit roster would move under the label's umbrella.

Sources say half the deal will be in stock, in which 50 Cent would become one of the largest shareholders of News Corp.

Also under the deal, 50's online community, ThisIs50.com, would be acquired by News Corp, his touring would be marketed through and sold via the company, and would also include a G-Unit book deal, and music publishing for 50 and the artists under his label.

While the deal is still in the works, it is not expected to be finalized until next year, after the rapper fulfills his contract requirements with Interscope Records.

First off. Do any of you DUMBASS people know who Rupert Murdoch is? Look it up.. He happens to be in control of most of the world media any way. 300 million is chump change compared to money Murdock has in the bank. If 50 makes this deal, he will make a lot of money, No Doubt. My question is, why the hell 50 want more money? 50 is MEGA RICH. I also hear people say, 50 went from Hot to Cold. I say 50 is a incredible entertainer mainly because of his street credibility . Some of you fail to realize that rap music is not about lyrical skill anymore. It's about money and marketing. So please save your remarks on who has "flow" (whatever you think that means)and who is the best rapper alive...because it's just not there. There are many underground rappers that have more than "flow" but are not making top dollar simply because their lyrics don't fit what is being marketed today..(and what's being marketed is basically...club rap..nonsensical lyrics with catchy beats...let's be real) Peace

When Nelly 1st came out yaw said the same thing - & I agree , the Ni99a dont have flow - but he was hella marketable - now he got 100 mill..Only certain people are marketable.. ex:Rhianna is more marketable than Alicia Keys...Rhianna can sell purses, watches, jewelry, key chains, -anything u want her to sale for you and make that BIG $$.Alicia Keys couldnt push that kind of money around on her back - that's the difference between a nice house and an estate. This is the new investment for white collars...They placing stock in rappers now - not a bad idea though. Some rappers might as well put they career up for auction of the bat - it'll probably be more than the record companies would give them their whole career. Give me 70 million upfront and I would tap dance for you the rest of my life-..other possible good investments would be Murphey Lee and Young Berg - again not the hottest - but both have very good potential if marketed right.
