The Charts: Mariah Carey Dethroned, Lyfe Jennings Debuts In Top 5

After two weeks at the top, Mariah Carey has finally been detroned by the legendary Madonna.

Carey's E=MC2 comes in at no. 2 this week, selling 95,000 albums, a 48% sales decline.

British singer Leona Lewis descended to no. 3 this week with Spirit. She managed to sell 96,000 units, putting her total right under 400K.

Lyfe Jennings third studio album, Lyfe Change, opens at no. 4 on the Billboard 200, selling 80,000 copies. Its the singer's second straight album top 5 debut. 2006's The Phoenix, debuted at no. 2 and moved 136,000 albums in its first week.

Hip-hop band, The Roots, opens in the top 10, with their ninth studio album, Rising Down, selling 54,000 copies. Its the band's second highest debut -- their 2006 album, Game Theory, entered at no. 9.

Lil Mama also made her chart debut this week with her debut set, The Voice of The Young People. The album bowed at no. 25 wth 19,000 copies sold.

According to Billboard.com, album sales this week are up 10% from last week's sum with 7.55 million units and down 10.4% from the same week last year.
