Remy Ma Speaks From Riker's Island For The First Time

It's been over a month since Remy Ma was found guilty of assault charges and sent to Riker's Island to await sentencing, but the self-proclaimed Queen of NY made a call to Kay Slay's Sirius Satellite show recently to give everyone an update.
During the exclusive phone call, she described how she's holding up.
"It's nothing. I'm in here chillin', eating mad mackerel (laughs)," Remy told Kay Slay. "I'm in the cell 23 hours a day on some max security. It's real crazy over here. You got some officers who are extra nice to you, and you got the ones who are extra not nice."
Despite being behind bars, the rapper seemed to be in good spirits, as she cracked jokes and laughed during the course of the call. However, she did take some time to maintain her innocence, and explain how her conviction was unjust.
"It's nothing. I'm forever innocent. I don't care if 12 million jury say I'm guilty. I'll be home in a minute," Remy said.
"Forever innocent. Be clear, don't be mistaken by a jury that was not my peers. There was no tan, black, dark brown, nothing on that jury that... it's a whole conspiracy against rappers right now. ... Our justice system is crazy right now. I'm telling you, it could be you any day," she continued, as she spoke with Kay Slay.
She is due back in court on May 13th, and urged friends and fans to come to the courthouse to show support.
Until then, though, Remy said you will hear more from her on Kay Slay's show, because she had "wild phone time."
Remy did reveal that she will have some new music coming soon. She said she will begin recording a new mixtape from her cell titled 6 Minutes Remy Ma You On, but did not give a release date.
