The Charts: Mariah Carey Nabs Sixth No. 1

Mariah Carey does it again, and takes the no. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 this week.
The singer earned her sixth no. 1 this week via her new album, E=MC2, which sold 463,000 copies. The Island Def Jam set is Mariah's biggest debut week ever, sales wise, and the biggest so far this year.
Mariah is now tied with Janet Jackson and Madonna for the second most no. 1 albums among female artists, only behind Barbra Streisand who has eight.
After claiming the top spot last week, becoming the first British female solo artist to debut atop of Billboard 200, Leona Lewis' album, Spirit, placed at no. 2 this week with 95,000 units scanned, a 54% sales decrease.
Rick Ross landed outside the top 10 this week, nabbing the no. 11 spot with his sophomore effort, Trilla, which sold 26,700 copies. The set is approaching gold sales with 443,100 copies since its release.
Diddy's girl group, Danity Kane, fell to no. 14 with their sophomore set, Welcome To The Dollhouse, with 23,000 copies sold this week. So far, they've sold 422,300 copies.
"American Idol" winner, Jordin Sparks, climbed the charts this week, up one spot at no. 16 with her self-titled debut. She scanned 22,600 more copies this week.
Rounding out the top 20 is duo Gnarls Barkley, whose sophomore album, Odd Couple, climbed seven spots to no. 20 with 19,800 copies sold. Its sold just 121, 200 copies since its early release.
According to Billboard.com, sales this week are up 1.9% from last week's sales at 7.5 million units. Sales are down 8.1% compared to the same week last year.
