After being given a career resurrection last year when he was called upon for hosting duties for MTV's "The (White) Rapper Show," which then turned into a hosting job on the "Miss Rap Supreme" reality show, MC Serch is also expanding his game to radio.
According to The Detriot News, the former 3rd Bass member is launching a four-hour radio program dedicated to old-school and local hip-hop called "Serchlite Saturdays" in the Detroit.
The show is scheduled to debut at 6 p.m. on April 26 on WHDT-FM (102.7).
"I'm really excited," Serch told the paper. "I want to make sure we're the only station people are listening to when they're cruising Belle Isle. This is barbecue and cruise music for Detroit, period."
The live show will be split in two segments -- the first two hours will focus on old-school hip-hop jams, and feature interviews with classic artists, as well as current artists talking about their memories of old-school hip-hop, while the last two hours will be dedicated to local hip-hop.
This isn't Serch's first foray into radio though. Between 2002 to 2006, he hosted the morning show at WJLB-FM (97.9) in Detroit.
The paper also reports that Serch has been tapped to host this year's Detroit Music Awards on Friday (April 25).
Otherwise, people can catch him hosting VH1's "Miss Rap Supreme" at 10 p.m. on Mondays.
