Kanye West seems to be doing better since the loss of his mother in November of last year. In a recent blog, via his official site KanyeUniversity.com, the rapper-producer explained his happiness.
"If there's anything my mom taught me [it] is to enjoy life," West wrote on Wednesday (April 9). "I don't do anything I don't love anymore ... while people chase money I pursue happiness."
He even paid tribute to his mother during a heartfelt performance at this year's Grammy Awards.
During his blog Wednesday, West also revealed that he's recorded for the first time since his mother's passing, and it made him feel "inspired."
"I just recorded my first verse in the last six months, two days ago at Bape's Studio in Japan," wrote West. "It felt good and I was inspired. I absolutely lost my mind (in a good way) on the new Glow in the Dark tour. The constant hours of creating, helped me to keep from loosing my mind in a bad way.
"Chris Milk told me tragedy can produce great art and this is definitely true. I am a total mad man now, up till 3 a.m. every night, trying to fight pain, board-um, and uncertainty with creativity. All that said, life is good..."
In other news, Kanye's upcoming Glow In The Dark Tour is slated to kick off on April 16 in Seattle, and run through the end of May.
