Wu-Tang founder, the Rza, is gearing up for the release of a new album under his alter-ego Bobby Digital, which will coincide with 20-date tour beginning at the end of June.
The new album, titled Digi Snax, is due out in July, and continues the story of Bobby Digital, the alter-ego created by Rza in his lab on "Wu Mountain." It is described in a record company bio as a "self-indulgent creature of the flesh who loves to womanize, party, spend money and wear the latest fashions."
It follows the two previous Bobby Digital releases, 1998's Bobby Digital In Stereo and 2001's Digital Bullet.
The Bobby Digi album is not the only thing Rza is working on though. He recently revealed to Canadian website, Now Toronto, that his "final" solo project, The Cure, is also in the works.
"There's two things I'm doing musically right now," he told the site last month. "One, I'm finishing up the Bobby Digital album, and I think I have a real unique approach and vocal cadence. I think I'm going to have a nice surprise album out of that one. And I've been working on it for 10 years now almost, but I'm still finishing up The Cure.
"I think that's going to be a satisfying moment for all Wu fans around the world," he continued. "If they don't get it from nowhere, they will get it from The Cure, because I think that's really going to be special."
According to LiveDaily.com, the tour will kick off on June 28 in Houston, and go into July, hitting Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Denver along the way, before the final date ends on July 8 in Washington D.C.
