Eminem's mother has been sued by a man who claims helped her with the book about the rapper, but was cut out of the profits.
According to the Associated Press, Neal Alpert filed a lawsuit in an Oakland County Circuit Court lawsuit filed Monday (April 7) claiming that Em's mom, Debbie Nelson, developed the book, My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem, while under contract with him.
Alpert alleges that they entered into a contract in 2005, in which he would act as her agent and receive 25 percent of the gross profits.
"As her agent, he was entitled to a percentage of profits but hasn't seen a dime," Drew Norton, Alpert's attorney, told the Detroit News.
According to the lawsuit, the book was initially released in Great Britain in September 2007, and has sold more than 100,000 copies. But Alpert has yet to receive his cut.
