Singer Sean Levert Dies At 39

Another Levert passes on.

The Associated Press reports that singer Sean Levert -- son of lead O'Jays singer Eddie Levert and brother of the late Gerald Levert -- died Sunday night (March 30) when he suddenly collapsed while in jail.

The 39-year-old singer, who was serving time for failing to pay about $80,000 in child support, was rushed to the Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland late Sunday, but didn't make it.

At press time, the cause of death was unknown. An autopsy is expected to determine the cause.

Sean's brother, Gerald Levert, died in 2006 suddenly as well, reportedly from an accidental mix of prescription and over-the-counter drugs. He was just 40 years old.
