Although he wasn't allowed to host Thanksgiving dinner when he requested to do so while on house arrest last year, T.I. is finally being allowed to leave him home -- for Easter service.
The rapper (real name: Clifford Harris) was given permission by a federal magistrate judge on Thursday (March 20) to attend a service sponsored by the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta on Easter Sunday from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
According to the Associated Press, the judge said that he must be accompanied by a court-approved monitor and one of his attorneys during his trip away from home.
The report said that court documents revealed that the service was originally planned to be held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, but due to tornado damage at the venue, it may be held at the church's location in Lithonia, Georgia.
This will be the first time T.I. has left his home since being put on house arrest, while awaiting trial for his federal weapons case.
T.I. was arrested in October 2007 by federal agents in an Atlanta shopping center after allegedly attempting to buy three machine guns and two silencers.
He was held for nearly two weeks before a judge set a bail of $3 million dollars, under the condition that he remain on house arrest.
