Some very different testimony has taken place during Remy Ma's assault trial in Manhattan's State Supreme Court this week.
On Tuesday (March 11), 21-year-old student Oluwole Ajudun -- a six year friend of victim Makeda Barnes-Joseph -- testified that he saw the Bronx rapper get out of her Cadillac Escalade with a "silver chrome" gun, reports the Associated Press.
"I saw her cock it back and jump in Makeda's car," he said.
Immediately after, he heard the gun go off, said Ajudun, and saw Remy flee the victim's car.
Crystal Ricks also testified Tuesday, but she said she did not see a gun, but did see Remy approach Barnes-Joseph's vehicle, followed by a pop, a flash and the Bronx rapper exiting the vehicle.
Another development surfaced on Thursday (March 13) via testimony from 25-year-old Krystal Bolton, who was parked next to Barnes-Joseph's car on the night of the shooting.
Bolton claimed she didn't see Remy pull the trigger because she didn't have a clear view of the shooting. Apparently, she was drunk when it took place.
"I don't recall seeing [Remy] at all," said Bolton, according to New York's Daly News. "I just remember a light flashing and me running to [Barnes-Joseph] on the ground."
Remy Ma (real name: Remy Smith) is charged with first-degree assault and related crimes for the July 2007 shooting of Barnes-Joseph outside a Meatpacking District bar in Manhattan.
While the prosecution claims the rapper shot the victim because money was missing from her purse, the defense teams is calling the incident "a tragic accident," arguing that the two women struggled over the gun and it went off accidentally.
Ivan Fisher, Remy's lawyer, made Barnes-Joseph out to be a celebrity groupie who misrepresented what happened in hopes of winning money from the rapper.
Remy Ma has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is currently free on $250,000 bail.
