Ford Grabs Bow Wow, Steve Harvey For CIAA Activities

In conjunction with the 2008 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Basketball Tournament, Ford (motor company) will be giving away a 2008 Focus to one lucky individual, hand out scholarships, and bring together a slew of top artists -- such as Bow Wow and Omarion -- for the free Ford Fan Experience.
Ford's activities will be held at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Caroline on February 28 and run through March 1 at the free CIAA Ford Fan Experience, during the CIAA tournament which began on Monday (February 25). Ford will display some of its hottest products including the new 2008 Ford Focus, 2008 Ford F-150 and the Red Hot 2008 Ford Expedition Funkmaster Flex Edition.
The company will bring Bow Wow, Omarion, Lyfe Jennings and Tiffany Evans to the Vibe Soundstage during Saturday's activities, while a special live taping of the Steve Harvey Morning Show will take place on February 29 from 6:00 to 10 a.m.
Additionally Ford will treat fans to various activities like the interactive Ford Focus Challenge; SYNC demonstrations; a shot at sparking your inner creativity through the use of airbrushing and a chance to capture the moment.
Sweepstakes winners will have a crack at unlocking the doors to a 2008 Ford Focus during halftime of the Ford Men's Finals on Saturday, March. 1. To enter online, visit FordUrban.com/CIAA.
As part of Ford's 7th year of support of the CIAA, the company will continue to play an instrumental role in improving the academic outlook for CIAA students by awarding over $100,000 in scholarships and providing a chance to win this hot new vehicle.

"Ford continues to provide scholarships and supports the CIAA each year because of the role that the association plays in increasing the chances for educational improvement and opportunity within the African American community. By partnering with the CIAA, Ford is continuing to play its part in ensuring that students receive a quality education and we're excited about being able to team up with the CIAA on this effort again this year."
Additionally, via Ford's "CIAA Shootout Contest," eligible CIAA students will culminate by bringing 10 Finalists to Charlotte to shoot for one of four scholarships during Men's Finals Night on Saturday (March 1). Contestants can shoot to win a $5,000, $2,500, $1,500, or $500 scholarship.
"For us, it's about bringing an experience to town that will be remembered for years to come," said Green. "The cars, the interactive displays, the chance to shoot for scholarships and the excitement from the fans are part of what makes this event such a great partnership for us.
