G-Unit's Tony Yayo has been cleared of all charges related to the alleged child slapping incident where the rapper was accused of slapping the 16-year-old son of industry veteran Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond.

In a ruling given Thursday morning (February 14) in Manhattan Criminal Court, charges of misdemeanor assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child were dismissed as part of a plea deal to a lesser, non-criminal harassment charge, which brought with it 10 days of community service.

Yayo's attorney, Scott Leemon, said Yayo (real name: Marvin Bernard) accepted the non-criminal resolution of the case to avoid the "unnecessary hardships" of a trial.

"First, I would like to thank the District Attorney's office, who after further investigation, agreed with us that Tony Yayo should not be subject to any criminal liability for this incident," Leemon said in a statement. "As I told you from the beginning, Tony Yayo did not hit anyone and would never do anything to harm a child."

The rapper was originally charged back in March 2007 for allegedly the teen on a Manhattan street in front of Rosemond's Czar Entertainment offices.

The dismissal came after Lowell Fletcher, an acquaintance of the rapper, told police during an unrelated jailhouse interview that he had slapped the young kid in March while Yayo restrained him.

Fletcher was identified in a lineup by Henchmen's son.
