Scott Storch may be in financial trouble. In a report by the Miami Herald, the super-producer reportedly owes the mother of his son, Jalen, outstanding child support, Dalene Jennifer Daniel claims in documents recently filed in Miami-Dade County court. Storch allegedly pays $7,500 a month to Daniel for Jalen, but has yet to pay since December, and is "habitually late," Daniel's attorney said in a motion that seeks to hold Storch in contempt. Additionally, Storch was supposed to enroll his son in the Florida Prepaid College Plan, but the payment bounced, according to another motion. And it also claims the producer hasn't, per the settlement, provided proof that he got a $1 million life-insurance policy that names Jalen as the beneficiary. ...

Despite rumors that Bow Wow had gotten into an argument with Chris Brown during Saturday's (January 12) Exclusive tour stop in Dallas, which resulted in the young rapper spitting the singer's face, Bow Wow denied the rumors entirely, saying "Chris is like my brother." "I just got off the phone with Chris. My mom called me and told me about the rumor. I called him and told him, and he started laughing. We was dying [with laughter]," he told MTV. "It's just a rumor. It's a big rumor. I would never do that. That's not being a man, that's a sissy act," he continued. ...

Foxy Brown is trying to get released from prison early. The rapper recently told a judge that she needs an early release due to her ear condition (Fox experienced deafness for a year before having surgery for severe and sudden sensorineural hearing loss in 2006). "I ask you to please take into consideration that my health is in jeopardy," Brown (real name: Inga Marchand) reportedly wrote in a handwritten letter that was filed Tuesday (January 15) as part of an appeal at New York State Supreme Court. "Yes, I've made some bad choices and stupid mistakes," she continued in the four-page letter. "But please understand that sitting in a prison with murderers and criminals is not rehabilitating or what I need to deal with my inner issues." Fox is serving a one year sentence for probation violation. ...

Grammy-winning R&B singer, who is also a member of the popular '90s group Blackstreet, was apprehended on Tuesday (January 15) after a nearly year-long search. Chauncey Hannibal (a.k.a. Chauncey Black) was captured in Los Angeles and extradited to Virginia Beach where he is currently being held without bond, according to the Associated Press, where he faces charges of grand larceny, failure to pay child or spousal support and failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge. Chauncey allegedly broke into a house on the Chesapeake Bay and stole almost everything. After the singer was evicted in July, it is believed that he came back, looted and destroyed the property. The property owner filed a police report. He also skipped court date back in September of '07 in which he was scheduled to be sentenced for contempt of court and violating terms of his probation, according to online records. Instead he skipped town. ...

Miami rapper, Rick Ross, has been confirmed to walk boxer Roy Jones Jr. to the ring to face Felix "Tito" Trinidad, this Saturday (January 19) at Madison Square Garden. Wu-Tang affiliate, Killah Priest, is gearing up for the follow-up to 2007's critically acclaimed The Offering. Via a joint venture with Good Hands Records and the rapper's own Proverb Records imprint, Priest will release Behind The Stained Glass this spring. "Behind The Stained Glass is more of me tapping into the inner priesthood side I think people need to hear more of," said Priest. "It's great to work with an artist whose main goal is to feed his fans great music on a regular basis," added DJ Truth, CEO of Good Hands. ...

MC/producer One.Be.Lo is also prepping a new album -- the long awaited follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut, S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M., which received Indie Album of the Year honors by us in January of 2006 (see "2nd Annual BallerStatus Year-End Awards"). His sophomore effort, titled The R.E.B.I.R.T.H., will be released on February 19 through his own Subterraneous Records and Integral Music Group. The rapper insisted his time around, he's even more hungry then he was on his debut, and instead of doing it all on his own, this time he's got a good team behind him. "My focus is stronger, and I'm hungrier than ever before,” says the self-empowered Lo. "Whereas before, I was truly a 'one man army,' now I'm delegating responsibilities to a very competent team." The R.E.B.I.R.T.H., is the end product of personal growth and the obstacles he's overcome. ...
