Raz B Issues Public Apology To Chris Stokes, Says His Claims Aren't True

Wow, this Chris Stokes and B2K situation has gotten a little weird.

After leaked video footage made its way to the internet over the weekend, that showed B2K's Raz B and his brother Ricardo Thorton claiming that Chris Stokes had sexually molested them as teenagers, the internet was talking.

Chris Stokes quickly released a statement denying the allegations (see "B2K's Raz B Accuses Chris Stokes Of Molestation; Stokes Responds"), and Omarion even came to Stokes' defense calling Raz and his brother both liars (see "Omarion Stands By Chris Stokes Regarding Molestation Claims").

Now, in a video posted on YouTube the day after Christmas, Raz B is seen issuing a public apology to both Chris Stokes and Marques Houston, calling his previous comments "not true."

"I would like to send a public apology for some tapes that were leaked without my authority. I just wanna say that those allegations are not true with Chris Stokes and Marques Houston," Raz says in the video. "I apologize for any hurt that this has caused publicly, financially..."

The apology comes on the heels of Stokes threatening legal action through statements in the media.

At press time, it is not immediately known if Stokes plans to move forward with any legal proceedings against Raz B and his brother.

Stokes, however, responded to the apology Thursday (December 27), saying that he was happy Raz admitted to lying. "I'm happy that Demario 'Raz B' Thorton and Ricardo Thorton realized their mistakes and admitted to lying. I have always supported my family and have always been a stand up person. I knew that the truth would eventually come to light," said Stokes.

I still believe that Raz could be telling the truth. I dont think a grown man would come out and say something of that nature & it not have some truth to it. Not only did he do harm to the other group members and marques houston he did some to himself.Thats why with him knowing the consequences i dont think he would come out and lie about this.I think the apology was fake!! I support him until i am surely proven wrong

fuck that i feel that if he came out and said that in the first place why would he lie knowing the consequences not just from stokes but the fact that his image to anyone he knows would be ruined. But omarion and marques have a pretty good reputation and have went solo and they don't want their fans thinking their gay but chris stokes is tring to cover his ass cause he knows the consequences and omarion is backin him up because he's still involved wit him. I don't think raz should've apologized if thats what that nigga did then he deserves to be punished cause that's nasty. if someone did that to my child his ass betta not cover for no one to keep a good rep!

and another thing, we as a community, the black communtiy at that, should judge Raz-b for coming out with this. if this is true, to come out publicly and admitt your personal business like that takes courage. we should support him and let him know that we are behind him. if all of this is false, then we should then let him face the consequences as a man and make him take responsibility for his actions. There's proof that R. Kelly had statgitory rape with a 14 year old, and yet he still sells out concerts and continues to make hit records. why do we support him? why do we continue to listen to his music? the music industry is corrupted and people with power will do anything a person fighting to make it big because they know they hold that person's fate in their hands. alot of people put up with things they shouldn't just to make it. all i'm saying is all the comments like raz-b is gay and all that show's the ignorance of our young community. and that's a real shame.

it would really be a shame if all this wasn't true, however in the video tape chris basically admited that he did something when he said " i don't do that anymore" i mean, who knows, it may not have even been chris on the phone, it could have all been fake. However, chris stokes and all former members of B2K have the power to make things like this go away to cover up dirty secrets. if you were omarion right now, with a new album, and a major tour coming up, would you admit to this? fearing that you could be dropped from your management team? it's not like these boys/men are going to be running at the chance to come out and say something like this if it is true. like i said before, who knows. it's not completely unbelievable

I still think it's true. He's just embarrassed now & wants to take it back, wishing it'll all go away. He probably doesn't think he has the financial means to go against them in court. To accuse someone of that type of act you have offered them up to be tried and judged in the court of public opinion. Once that stigma has been placed on someone, true or untrue, we tend to keep it in that back of our minds that this person maybe capable of this type of deed. I encourage Mr. Stokes to prosecute in the name of his truth and his children's legacy. Not to follow through with legal actions will keep Mr. Stokes in the light of suspicion. If it is true and these men have taken money for their silence, than they are no better than a common whore. Considering Mr. Thorton repeated this story in the name of GOD, I pray he gets justice. Because truley he didn't just damage a man's character and call on GOD to assist him.
