Rapper Yung Joc failed to appear in court on Wednesday (December 26) where he was scheduled to be arraigned on a felony charge for carrying a loaded gun through Cleveland Hopkins Airport on Sunday morning (December 23).
According to the Associated Press, the 27-year-old rapper (real name: Jasiel Robinson) is now considered a fugitive, and Cuyahoga County assistant prosecutor Gayle Williams plans to request a warrant for his arrest.
Joc's attorney, Stanley Jackson Jr., apologized, reports the AP, and said the rapper was out of town on personal and family obligations.
He also added that Joc maintains his innocence.
Joc is accused of attempting to carry a loaded handgun through the security checkpoints at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. Airport police spotted the gun, then arrested the rapper for carrying a concealed weapon (see "Yung Joc Arrested At Cleveland Airport With Loaded Gun").
During the arrest, Joc reportedly told authorities that he was unaware that the gun was there.
He was locked up until Monday (December 24), when he was released on $50,000 bond.
On Wednesday, Municipal Judge Michael John Ryan doubled his bail to $100,000.
