Hip-hop radio personalities, Star and Buc Wild, are slated to return to New York City radio after the pair's Star and Buc Wild Morning Show was pulled from the air in 2006.
They are scheduled to hold a press conference on Wednesday (November 28) in New York to announce the details of their upcoming return.
Star (real name: Troi Torain) was fired by Clear Channel back in May of 2006 when he made sexual and threatening comments toward rival DJ Envy and his 4-year-old daughter on the air, which was a result of an on-air verbal war between the two in the weeks leading to his termination (see "NY Radio Personality Fired Over Sexual On-Air Comments").
Star is quotes as saying, "Somebody holla at me and tell me about his whore wife and his kid," the radio personality said, offering $500 to any listener who could provide information about the location of Envy's kid's school. "866-678-8270... Somebody get at me about his whore. His whore wife and his kid, this little ugly ass kid, I hear.
"I'm disrespectin' your seed. I would like to skeet on the face of your seed," he continued.
Star was fired and charged with child endangerment following the lewd on-air comments. The charges were eventually dropped, but Star filed a $10 million dollar lawsuit against the city, which was also eventually thrown out of court.
At press time, there no word as to where the duo's morning show is slated to air, but details are expected at Wednesday's press conference.
