After 50 Cent said last week that he'd be willing to debate Kanye West over which of their albums were better, live on TV (see "50 Cent Accepts Offer To Debate Kanye West On Live TV"), Kanye West has responded, saying it's "the stupidest" idea he's heard.
Both rappers are set to release their new albums -- West's Graduation and 50's Curtis -- on September 11, so during a recent appearance on BET's "106 & Park," hosts Terrance J. and Rocsi suggested that the two rappers engage in a presidential style "debate" to decide who has the best album.
50 said yes, but Kanye isn't with it.
At the MTV Video Music Nominations in New York on Tuesday (August 7), West said, "What am I going to debate about? I'm going to go in the studio and make music.
"When I heard that thing about the debate, I thought that was the stupidest thing. When my albums drops and 50's album drops, you're gonna get a lot of good music at the same time."
50 predicted that West's release date would change, claiming that Def Jam would cave in, but Jay-Z has since dismissed the notion, welcoming the competition.
