R&B singers Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank have recently revealed that they are joining forces to form an R&B supergroup they call TGT -- Tyrese, Ginuwine & Tank.

On the heels of Tank's recently released album, Sex, Love And Pain, and the success of Tyrese's fifth album Alter Ego, combined with chart topping platinum hits of Ginuwine, the group is poised to become one of the most successful R&B groups of the future.

Fans will get a first listen of the TGT sound in the form of a remix for Tank's current single, "Please Don't Go," which is already making its way up the national charts. The single is expected to debut on radio in two weeks, with hopes of it becoming a summer hit.

"With all the support our fans have given us individually over the years for our distinct signature styles, collectively we felt our fans deserved to hear great music in a way that they could never have imagined," Tyrese said of the formation of the group. "I've known these guys for years and they truly are like brothers, so it only felt right to come together as a trio to make history."

Group member Tank calls the newly formed group "a dream come true" and said they plan to reshape R&B music, while Ginuwine says the genre needed them to come together. "Basically the world of R&B needed a change, and there were only a few chosen that could do it, R&B needed a pick up, R&B needed TGT," said the singer.

The group plans to launch their first international tour, which they are calling the The Shirts Off Tour, in the fall. They will first make their way across the country, with stops in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Chicago, and Miami among others, before hitting international markets. The tour will feature sets of some of each member’s biggest solo hits, in addition to new tracks from new TGT songs.

It will also serve as a launch pad for a national search to find a fourth member. This search, which will be executed in the same style as "American Idol" and "America's Got Talent," will enter each major city and will give a sneak preview into the makings of a soon to be powerhouse R&B group.

The multi-platinum trio has already begun work in the studio to record their debut album, but no estimated date was given for its release.
