Socialite Kim Kardashian has recently dropped a lawsuit filed against Vivid Entertainment, the porn giant behind the release of a homemade sex video with her and ex-boyfriend Ray J called "Kim Kardashian Superstar," after recently an undisclosed settlement.
"We are pleased that Kim has dropped her legal action against us," said Steven Hirsch, co-chairman of Vivid Entertainment. "We met with her several times and finally reached a financial arrangement that we both feel is fair."
According to UsMagazine.com, Kardashian will receive close to $5 million in the settlement.
The tape, which Vivid reportedly paid a million dollars for, is now a best-seller in adult video stores and online markets. But although Vivid is making quite a profit from the sales of the video, they always wanted to cut Kardashian in on the profits.
"We've always want to work something out with Kim so she could share in the profits," added Hirsch.
The video was made more than three years ago when Kardashian and Ray J were dating. It's best-selling DVD currently and is available at ShopVivid.com and is available for streaming online through the KimKSuperstar.com.
Kardashian, daughter of O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian and a close friend of Paris Hilton, claimed she had not authorized release of the video. As part of her commitment to drop the suit, she agreed to a lump sum financial settlement for the sale of the DVDs, said Vivid.
