More relatives of the slain Notorious B.I.G. are coming out to file suit again the city of Los Angeles for the wrongful death of the deceased rapper.

The DailyBreeze.com reports that Faith Evans, the rapper's mother Voletta Wallace and his two children filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday (April 16) against the city and two Los Angeles police officers in the center of the Rampart corruption probe.

In the lawsuit, they claim that Notorious B.I.G. (real name: Christopher Wallace) was killed "in a very efficient, organized and professional manner, suggesting that a high degree of coordination and planning preceded his murder," which would indicate police involvement.

Although the Wallace family has previously filed a wrongful death suit in federal court, the new litigation involves state-related claims, said attorney Bradley C. Gage, according to the DailyBreeze.

In addition to the City of Los Angeles, the suit also names former Rampart officer Rafael Perez and his ex-partner, Nino Durden, as co-defendants, who the Wallace family say in the suit "murdered Christopher Wallace" and have previously admitted to LAPD officials that they "conspired to murder, and participated in the murder" of the rapper.

Despite claims that the LAPD "consciously concealed Rafael Perez's involvement in the murder of ... Wallace," no charges have been filed against Perez or Durden in connection with B.I.G.'s killing.

An LAPD spokesman declined to comment on the lawsuit at press time.
