The next generation of the Onyx family has entered the game, backed by the original members of the group -- Sticky Fingaz, Fredro Starr and Sonee Seeza.

Following up the platinum success Onyx received in the early 90s with their debut Bacdafucup, Yung Onyx is entering the fold, bringing back the griminess that Onyx radiating back in their heyday.

"My father and Fredro Starr had a relationship before I was ever born. At four years old, [Fredro] and Stick Fingaz was at my crib, I spit a hot 16 for him and I been down ever since," group member Khao$ told BallerStatus.com. "It's like fate, history repeats itself."

"History does repeat itself," continued Fredro Starr.

The group -- which consists of Khao$, 19-year-old Skitzo, 16-year-old M.I.C., and 19-year-old Premo Starr (little brother of original Onyx member, Fredro Starr) -- has been in the works since Onyx was topping the charts, but according to the members of the group, they never found the right deal.

So today, years later, the next generation of Onyx are taking to the streets, releasing a number of mixtape, including their latest and first one Bang Out, which they plan to follow-up with several others very soon.

"Right now, we're dropping these mixtapes, while we wait for the right situation comes our way," Khao$ said. "It's just a heavy grind, but the hood loves us. We giving autographs and everything."

For those who are expecting the original members, don't. You're not going to hear them, aside from a few guest appearances here and there. Other than that, the new kids on the block are taking up where Onyx left off -- grimy and gutter.

"It's always gonna be grimy, but an updated version," says Khao$. "We're gonna appeal to the old fans of Onyx and also the new kids who didn't grow up hearing them."

In addition to grinding on the music scene, Yung Onyx is planning the launch of a clothing line called Madface, which will consist of jeans, hoodies, t-shirts, hats and accessories in lines for men, women and children.

And they also plan to do 100 shows over the summer all throughout the East Coast to continue to build their buzz.
