Dipset's Hell Rell is gearing up to hit the gaming world with a new action video game where the rapper is the main character.

The as-yet-to-titled game's is set in New York, where Hell Rell is thrown into vicious gun battles throughout the streets. It is being developed by Sun Sparks Studios, a video game development studio that specializes in games for the music industry and companies that want to use games to market a brand or product.

"[Hell Rell] has a natural animated personality, and his true life story translates well into a video game," said Hirokazu Tachiki, the game's executive producer, in a statement.

As album sales decline, Hell Rell branches off to co-promote within the gaming realm, as well as add an additional stream of revenue to line his pockets.

"With the current decline in albums sales in the music industry, we've created a gateway to combine the video game and music industries," said lead programmer Brad Wright. "We can create a game for an artist and place it on their album. Now an artist/label can promote an album and a game at the same time, giving them a potential increase in album sales, as well as a new stream of revenue generated from sales of their game via Internet downloads."

In addition, the rapper has established an independent film company called Hells Vision.

The untitled video game is expected for release in 2007.
