Young Jeezy will have to prove he isn't seeing the rap money most people think he is. The rapper is being ordered to show bank statement records by a Houston County judge in Georgia to determine whether or not he should pay more in child support.

According to the Macon Telegraph, Jeezy (real name: Jay W. Jenkins) was instructed by a judge on Friday (October 21) to reveal his financial status, while attorneys for his former girlfriend, Tynesha Nicole Dykes, file subpoenas for other financial information from the rapper's Corporate Thugs Entertainment (CTE) company.

However, attorneys from both sides have been fighting back and forth on whether the rapper's financial records and related information were being properly disclosed. On Tuesday (October 25), the judge cut to the chase, ordering that the documents be submitted.

Jeezy is currently paying $178 a month in child support to Dykes, and claims he is living on a meager income.

Although the rapper should be living well after topping the charts as a member of Boyz N Da Hood and a successful solo debut on Def Jam Records, Jeezy has claimed in a previous hearing that he is living on $35 a day while waiting for record sales revenues to come in.

Superior Court Judge George Nunn said Jeezy appears to be hiding his true income, but said if he "can prove that he's living on a minimal income," it would be in his favor.

Nunn warned that if the rapper failed to comply, he will assess child support based on the rapper's "lifestyle of a wealthy rock star."

Under Georgia law, a child's mother is entitled to 20 percent of the father's income if he earns up to $75,000, according to the Macon Telegraph. When the father's income exceeds that amount, the court is free to determine the amount of child support owed.

The amount is to be determined on November 29, the next hearing date.
