A makeup artist, who sued and accused Snoop Dogg and several members of his entourage of allegedly drugging and raping her backstage at the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" show two years ago (see "Snoop Dogg Being Sued For Allegedly Raping A Make-Up Artist"), has dropped her lawsuit. According to the Associated Press, the accuser stated that "the matter has been resolved amicably," while Snoop's publicist said "absolutely no money" was paid in the settlement. ...

Beanie Sigel is finally home! The rapper was released on Tuesday (August 9), after serving most of a one-year sentence for gun possession charges (see "Beanie Sigel Sentenced To A Year In Prison, Fined"). He still faces retrial on a separate attempted murder charge, stemming from an incident in Philadelphia in 2003. Sigel is planning a tour to support The B Coming and will also drop a DVD August 23rd. ...

G-Unit's Young Buck and Lloyd Banks were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday (August 9) following their Manhattan Anger Management 3 concert stop. According to reports, the van the two rappers were passengers of was pulled over for running a red light. Police found two firearms in the vehicle and subsequently making 13 arrests. Both Buck and Banks were released on bail the same day, and are scheduled back in court on December 1. . ...

Big Boi is planning to release a compilation called The Purple Ribbon All-Stars, which will feature artists from his Virgin Records imprint, Purple Ribbon. The album is due October 4, and will feature Killer Mike, C-Bone and Rock D, who are featured on the first single, "Kryptonite," as well as Bubba Sparxxx, Sleepy Brown, Janelle Monet, Scar and Koncrete. ...

Outkast's Andre 3000 has recently turned down a role in Beyonce Knowles' anticipated musical "Dreamgirls" because he fears he will be typecast, according to femalefirst.co.uk. The rapper, whose own musical "My Life in Idlewild" is set to come out in 2006, admits that though he was excited director Bill Condon sent him the script for the movie, he thought it was best to decline the offer. Reportedly, Usher is currently in negotiations to take on a role in the film. ...
