Instead of staying out of trouble for 12 months to avoid doing any type of jail time, DMX may do just that. According to terms of his conditional release, the rapper could face jail time for two driving-related arrests, just eight months after he entered a guilty plea for his Kennedy Airport incident, according to the New York Times.
X was arrested back in June of 2004, when he allegedly posed as a federal agent and tried to steal a car at Kennedy International Airport (see "DMX Arrested For Attempted Car Theft At JFK Airport"). And on December 8, entered a guilty plea for reckless endangerment and was sentenced to a conditional discharge, where his license was suspended for six months.
The conditions of his release was that he stay out of trouble, but that lasted only two weeks, as the rapper was arrested once again while driving on a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle and speeding.
The second driving arrest came when X allegedly caused a three-car collision in the Bronx, New York -- on car being an unmarked police vehicle (see "DMX Arrested After Causing A Three-Car Collision In New York").
The Yonkers-native appeared in a Queens, New York courtroom on Monday (August 9) for the latest charge, where he was released on $500 bail and ordered to return to court on October 11, according to MTV. If X is convicted, he could serve up to a year in jail.
