Everyone's read the reports by now about Eminem's alleged retirement, but it seems the rapper is far from hanging up his mic for good.
When recently speaking to MTV on his Anger Management Tour, Eminem told the network "I'm not retiring."
The Detroit Press reported last week (see "Eminem To Bow Out As An Emcee; Planning To Produce Full-Time?") that many of Em's close associates said that the all-time best selling rapper was giving it all up to produce for other artists, was tired of being in the limelight, and would perform for the final time at his last scheduled show in Ireland.
But now, according to MTV, Em is only taking a break. And taking a break to Eminem means to produce for his artists and put their albums out. He also said he would one day retire, but while he has it in him to keep rapping, he will.
"I never said [Encore] was my last album," Em told MTV. "I never said anything yet. I don't know what I'm doing yet. Nothing is definite."
Eminem, all of his Shady family, G-Unit affiliates and Lil Jon are currently on the Anger Management Tour with their next stop being Chula Vista and Devore, California on Friday (July 22) and Saturday (July 23).
