The Bay Area continues its grind to become a more relevant force in today's hip-hop industry. The Jacka has managed to elicit favorable commentary such as "at a time when rap is lacking the strong-valued message it was built on, there are still a few MCs out there ready to fill the void. In comes The Jacka from the renowned group Mob Figaz." Only weeks after the release of The Jack Artist, The Jacka is steadily gaining nationwide recognition.

After making appearances with notable names such as Stat Quo, Vida Guerra, Snoop Dogg and J-Kwon, The Jacka has consistently been tackling the biggest markets in the country and even making a good impression in the process.

His second solo effort, The Jack Artist, is generating a strong buzz across the country and has yet to slow down. The album's sales (5,000 units in 5 weeks in over 40 markets) and downloads (120,000 over the course of a year) show that The Jacka has a strong and loyal national fanbase. Being prominently featured in the current issue of Murder Dog magazine (50 Cent/Mac Dre cover) as a part of a 10 page spread on the Mob Figaz, The Source, and the skateboarding mag Thrasher, doesn't hurt much either.

The Jacka, recently returning to California's Bay Area from a multi-city promo tour, plans on spending the summer further marketing The Jack Artist via live shows, barbeques, in-stores and radio/magazine interviews all along the West Coast.

The album boasts features from Cormega, Yukmouth, Keak Da Sneak, and the Mob Figaz to name a few. The lead single, "Barney (More Crime)," is currently enjoying national and regional rotation.

There are also plans to release an OG Ron C Chopped & Screwed version of the album, and he is currently in talks to tour with Yukmouth.

The Jack Artist is in stores now.
