Oh no, Dave Chappelle's TV show, "Chappelle's Show," has been put on indefinite hold, according to reports.
After creating a huge following the past two seasons, Comedy Central unexpectedly announced the show's suspension on Wednesday (May 4).
Season 3 of the sketch-comedy series was slated to return on February 16, but was then pushed back until May 31, and now was been put on hold.
"Comedy Central has suspended production on the third season of 'Chappelle's Show' until further notice," Tony Fox, Comedy Central spokesperson, said in a statement. "All parties are optimistic that production will resume in the near future."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Chappelle's Show: Season 1" collection smashed DVD sales records for a TV show, with much of the $60 million brought in on sales going to the channel.
In August 2004, Chappelle signed a two-year deal reportedly worth $50 million that gave him a healthy stake in the DVD sales.
