Up-and-coming producer J. Wells, protégé of Alkaholiks member J-Ro, is quickly establishing a name in the hip-hop industry. With a recently produced single for Goodie Mob ("Play Yo Flutes"), J. Wells is continuing to strengthen his work ethic, and is preparing a new release, titled Digital Master.
After proving himself to J-Ro, Wells was quickly initiated into the legendary Likwit Crew, and toured with Tha Liks on Snoop Dogg's Puff Puff Pass Tour. And to add to his list of accomplishes thus far, the producer also dropped the critically acclaimed J. Wells presents: The Wolfpac Mixtape, which featured Kurupt, Styliztik, James DeBarge, El DeBarge, Y.A., Roscoe, J-Ro, Tash of Tha Liks and Prodigal Sunn.
With his production work beginning to gain more attention, Wells is seeing more work, as his production can be heard on film and TV including hit taste-maker shows "The Sopranos" and "Six Feet Under," and the blockbuster film and soundtrack "Be Cool," as well as video games including "EA Sports 2004 Tiger Woods Golf."
His upcoming Digital Master album will feature some of the West Coast's brightest names including Jayo Felony, Kurupt and Tha Liks, as well as Method Man, Sleepy Brown, and Goodie Mob among others.
