Trouble just keeps coming for The Inc.'s Irv and Chris Gotti. The pair are reportedly under investigation in connection with the death of an alleged drug dealer named Anthony Sylvester.
According to the New York Post, the slain drug dealer was beaten unconsciousness by 2x4's and left for dead in a vacant lot in Harlem in 1993. But he was not dead yet and remained in a coma for eight months before being transferred to a hospice, where he remained for 10 years before passing on October 29, 2003.
The FBI has recently gained new evidence from the New York police regarding the case, and are hoping to go before a grand jury to obtain a murder charge for the Gotti brothers, according to MTV News.
"There is no case to take. This is fiction," the Gotti brothers' lawyer, Gerald Shargel, said Monday (April 18) to MTV News. "Whenever anyone reaches a position of prominence, they are targets. In the indictment charged against them, there wasn't a hint of guilt."
The FBI have not released any further information regarding the investigation.
