Master P and brother Silkk The Shocker have both been hit with gun possession charges for having unregistered loaded firearms two months after they were originally stopped and arrested.

The rap mogul, and brother, were traveling near the UCLA campus on January 27, when they were stopped by police, after they noticed that their vehicle was missing rear and front license plates (see "Master P, Silkk The Shocker Arrested On Gun Charges"). Once stopped, the officers found loaded handguns in the car, which lead to their arrest.

A campus police spokesperson confirmed that Master P (real name: Percy Miller), and his brother Silkk The Shocker (real name: Vyshonne King Miller), were both formally charged on Monday (March 28) for carrying unregistered loaded guns following their January arrests for investigation of unlawfully carrying firearms.

Both rappers are scheduled to be arraigned on the felony gun charges on Wednesday. Both are currently free on $35,000 bail.

According to reports, police state that when they stopped Master P's leased Chrysler 300M, a gun was spotted underneath the seat. After thoroughly searching the rest of the vehicle, another weapon turned up.

Master P responded to the arrest back in February, and claimed racism as the cause for the traffic stop (see "Master P Speaks Out On Recent Arrest; Blames Racism As The Culprit").

"Black man with gun, white cop panic," said Master P. "I'm a businessman. If the cops stopped panicking for one minute, they would've realized that the guns were registered, and that is legal in America."
