Xzibit is the latest rapper to get caught at a country's borders for marijuana possession. The "Pimp My Ride" star was scheduled to perform in Guam on Sunday evening (March 13), but as he arrived into the country, he was stopped and cited before he could do that.
Upon arriving at the Guam International Airport, Customs officers searched the rapper's bags after K-9 dogs drew attention to them.
According to Kaum.com, acting Customs Director Rick Blas said that officers found approximately two grams of marijuana tucked into the performer's clothes.
Although details and reports are sketchy, the California resident is expected to be charged with possession of less than an ounce of a controlled substance and should not serve any jail time.
"These people tend to forget that whenever they cross international borders, regardless of their status, Customs has control of the borders," said Blas of the incident.
Xzibit was given a citation at the time of the incident, and will have to pay a fine unless he intends to fight the matter in court. Blas also stated that X was cooperative.
"He was very good-natured that morning," recalled Blas, "even declaring that he had it and he was smoking it. Very seldom we find people being caught and the very first thing is deny, deny, deny. He was very relaxed about it."
Xzibit is currently touring in support of his latest effort, Weapons of Mass Destruction.
