Master P Speaks Out On Recent Arrest; Blames Racism As The Culprit

Master P and younger brother Silkk The Shocker recently made headlines after being arrested in Los Angeles, California on gun charges. Master P has responded to the charges, citing he was the victim of racism.

"Black man with gun, white cop panic," said Master P. "I'm a businessman. If the cops stopped panicking for one minute, they would've realized that the guns were registered, and that is legal in America."

While Silkk (real name: Vyshonn Miller) and Master P (real name: Percy Miller) were driving in the vicinity of UCLA, police pulled over their vehicle because it had no visible license plates. Upon the routine stop, police discovered two loaded handguns and quickly arrested the two rappers (see "Master P, Silkk The Shocker Arrested On Gun Charges").

Master P didn't become the mogul he is because of stupidity; he's using this incident to his advantage. "What did they expect me to be carrying? A can of mace? Both rappers are facing felony weapons possession charges, and in light of what Master P faces, he shrugs it off as a "minor incident." P believes that the way he grew up will explain why he lives the way he does.

"Everybody knows we from the ghetto, so hopefully this will be the last time a story is made of this minor incident," said Master P. "It's a different way of life for a person of color with money than it is for others with money."

Master P will be holding a press conference shortly to speak out in detail about his arrest.
