The City Universities of New York are tentatively scheduled to hold a two-day fall media conference on in October at Baruch College in New York City for students, fans and overall hip-hop aficionados.
The two-day event is scheduled to have representatives present from all facets of the hip-hop industry including writers, radio DJs, mixtape DJs, A&R reps, promotions, producers and possibly even artists.
The overall CUNY student staff is busy and at-work ironing out specifics about the event.
However, as it stands now, panel discussions regarding the nature of the beast, when it comes to the hip-hop industry are imminent. For now, the tentative lineup of the two-day event includes panel discussions on writing, radio, DJing (mixtapes, college radio), promotions and producing.
In addition, DJ panels showing the basics on the wheels of steel are in line for all those wannabe DJs out there.
The event will be held from October 13-14, and is open to all CUNY students as well as the public. As the event draws closer, the names will get more concrete. People in the industry will be on-hand.
And as it's looking now, the week of the CUNY event is going to be a busy one. That's because, that same week from October 13-16, RapAttackLives.com is hosting their event, H.U.S.T.L.E. 2004. Otherwise known as the Hip-Hop Urban Seminar To Learn & Empower.
