The Truth album had him narrating personal stories. His follow-up project, The Reason, had him straight rhyming. Now with his forthcoming LP, The B Coming, Beanie Sigel is going back to The Truth.
"The B Coming is back to The Truth because I'm telling stories again," Sigel told Ballerstatus.com. "It does have some straight rhyming for the streets, but for the most part, though, it's heartfelt stories."
The first single off the new album is "I Gotta Have It," featuring Peedi Crack and Twista. The album also features Bun B from UGK and Busta Rhymes, while production duties are handled Heavy D, Aqua, Chad West and Bink.
Consequently, Sigel fans should definitely mark the date, October 26, down on their calendars. This forthcoming LP is going to be a must have, especially due to Sigel's legal troubles.
Earlier this year, Sigel agreed to plead guilty to federal drug and weapons charges (see "Beanie Sigel To Plead Guilty for Drug, Gun Charges"), and sentencing was postponed while Sigel continued to stay on house arrest.
When asked if he thinks he will be facing jail time, Sigel said, "Yes I do. I will be able to bring you the music. If you want to hear it, I will deliver you music from jail."
While the gritty rhyming Sigel awaits his sentencing, he is concentrating on bringing his fans new material. In addition to The B Coming, he has a new mixtape entitled Public Enemy #1 hosted by Green Lantern, which is available now, which was recorded by Sigel at his home while on house arrest.
