Kool Keith and rapper H-Bomb (aka Jacky Jasper) have been locked in the lab as of late putting the finishing touches on the forthcoming album album, The Business Is 7 Days, under the group name 7th Veil.
According to the two emcees, the new album will be something different from what they've done in the past. By different, meaning fans can expect guest appearances by people Kool is not likely to work with on a regular basis.
"It sounds really different because it's the first time people are going to actually hear Kool Keith with a some different people," said H-Bomb. "Nobody has ever heard him like this before. We still didn't leave what he is, we have that incorporated with everything. It sounds damn great."
Both rappers have also recently inked a two-album deal with Funky Ass West Records. The Business Is 7 Days will be the first release through the new deal.
The album will include 15 new tracks and guest appearances by Ike Turner, Roscoe, Rick James, Chino XL, Flava Flav, Jewel, Pimpin' White Folks and Ice-T.
Accompanying the CD will be a DVD, which will display the duo's wacky imagination in addition to cameos by artists and porn stars, according to H-Bomb.
The group says they have a lot to say and 7th Veil will not biting their tongues. According to the group, it will be "15 songs of truth."
"Motherf--kers are getting dissed on this record," said H-Bomb. "Names are being called, nobody is hiding their feelings. We are just vibing on some real sh-- -- how to get money and real life. We got no time to be talking about the projects being a nice place to live and all that bullsh--. We are just keeping it real and speaking the facts.
"I just want everyone to know that it's coming, it's f--king hard, and it's not sloppy. Names are being f--kin' called and if n----s want to step up, then step up. It's like that."
The Business Is 7 Days is slated to hit stores this fall.
