Dave Chappelle Inks Two Year Deal With Comedy Central

Comedian Dave Chappelle, whose Comedy Central show "Chappelle's Show" was recently nominated for an Emmy, has signed on for two more seasons with the network.
"Chappelle's Show" will continue to run for a third and fourth season with 13 episodes each, extending the show through 2006.
The comedian will continue to star, co-create, write and executive produce the series along with Neal Brennan. With his new deal, Chappelle will also help in developing new ideas for the network.
"The success of the show has been phenomenal and overwhelming," said Chappelle. "I'm looking forward to coming back to Comedy Central for a big finish and now I'm actually rich, bitch!"
Chappelle is not the only one excite. Comedy Central's Senior VP of Programming, Lauren Corrao, stated that "re-signing Dave Chappelle was a top priority" and that they are "pleased that we were able to reach an agreement."
The phenomenal success of the show has resulted in over 2 million units sold of the first season's DVD, making it the most successful television DVD release of 2004 and the third best TV DVD seller of all-time.
In addition, the show was nominated for three Emmy Awards in the categories of Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series, Outstanding Directing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program and Outstanding Individual Achievement in Writing in a Variety Or Music Program.
