Rising indie label, Babygrande Records, is preparing yet another release this July. This time, it's from underground duo, OuterSpace, protégés of Jedi Mind Tricks.
Outerspace's debut, Blood & Ashes, will feature all the top names in the underground circuit including Vinnie Paz, Sadat X of Brand Nubian, Esoteric, Immortal Technique, Celph Titled, King Syze, Des Devious and more, while production is handled by 7L, Panik, Celph Titled, Sat One and Beyonder, among others.
The Outerspace duo consists of Philadelphia emcees, Planetary and Crypt the Warchild. For those who are not familiar with the pair, they began their journey into music in the early '90s, focusing on hard on honing their skills, which led them to ally with Jedi Mind Tricks to form Superegular Recordings.
In 1998, Superegular released their debut single, "We Lyve," which received critical praise from their peers. Since then, they've gone on to record with Jedi Mind Trick on several tracks and in 1999 released the Illegaliens EP.
Over the years, fans and hip-hop heads have collected various Outerspace 12's, which in turn established their underground presence.
Their debut album, Blood & Ashes, is slated for release July 27.
The duo can be seen on tour with Jedi Mind Tricks and 7L & Esoteric throughout the fall.
