Assistant to hip-hop mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs by day; lyricist by night!? As far-fetched as it may sound to some hip-hop fans, Fonsworth Bentley himself, is currently in the lab with the none other than producer Kanye West, working on a hip-hop track.
That's right, after his College Dropout album reached platinum certified success, West invited Bentley to work on the remix to his singe "Workout Plan." The remix will be called the "[New] Workout Plan."
For fans that still find it hard to believe, do consider the following: Bentley has rhymed on several prominent radio stations and even appeared on Da Band's debut album, Too Hot for TV. Consequently, Bentley has been honing his wordplay, preparing for an opportunity just like this.
However, despite testing his mic skills with West, Bentley made it clear to MTV News that he has no intentions of trading his cashmere attire for throwbacks and jeans any time soon.
"I am not a rapper, I am a Renaissance Man," the self-proclaimed, "Cascade Cabernet" told MTV.
In addition to his impending featured appearance on Kanye's remix track, the hip-hop "gentleman" is also working on his very own line of designer umbrellas.
Thus, it's looking as though P. Diddy better keep an eye on all of Bentley's endeavors or else he may find himself searching for a new assistant.
