The Fire: The Fire Is BACK -- 50, T.I., Game, Weezy, Hova, Hova!

Where there's smoke, there's Fire. YOUR FIREMAN IS BAAAACK! There's been a lot of comments posted at the end of this blog in recent weeks. Some of which have come from users from competitive sites. Others actually did come from sincere and loyal readers. And some... well.... came from dudes, who haven't touched a woman in years. (Get off the computer and touch one, haha). Anyway, the FIRE's back!

Let's not waste time. We're doing a 120 on the highway today. Let's go all the way in, like the NBA did on the Phoenix Suns.

This is the FRIDAY FIRE! WE THE BEST!

With 50 Cent on deck with his Curtis LP for a June 26 release and T.I. to follow with his T.I. vs. T.I.P. compilation for July 3, this summer looks to be a huge one for hip-hop. But I'm not too sure these cats are going to sell like they're accustomed to.

Let's start with T.I... Atlanta's own King of The South, so get your name out his mouth. His single, "Big Things Poppin" is catchy and Tip knows how to craft a song that sells, but what concerns me and should concern Clifford is the fact that that track is nowhere close to "What You Know" was off KING. "What You Know" was an absolute monsta! I mean, he had everyone in America saying, "What You Know About That," while he fed the streets with the gutter lining with the Louis knapsack reference. I just don't see "Big Things" powering the sales of an album like "What You Know" did for King. "What You Know" paved the way for Tip to rollout with singles for "Why You Wanna," "Live In The Sky" and "Top Back." That's serious damage dude did last March. 2006 was his. We'll see if he can carve out a piece of 2007 for his mantle too.

Now, onto 50. His name alone will sell, but how much? "Straight To The Bank" is a warmup record and nothing else. I don't see throngs of peeps wanting the album the way they did Get Rich with "In Da Club." But "Amusement Park" is interesting. Even though I think it's a mediocre "Candy Shop," we'll see what Fif can do. I say he does three mil and under, but not over. The market is miserable. The only cat in hip-hop that could get over the three-mil mark is your boy Eminem...

MORE FIRE, MORE FIRE, MORE FIIIIYAAAH!

With all the backlash on hip-hop for using the words "bitches," "hos" and the "n-word"... it's funny how 50 and T.I. were on a recent BET stage to defend the genre. What great promotion on their LPs!

A video has surfaced on the Internet with Cam'ron warning 50 about his return from vacation on June 1. To really sell his point that he's on vacation, Cam talks to Curtis in his wife beater and boxers. No Homo? I'm sure 50 is real, real scared. I'm not so sure if Cam is even on vacation. Dude could have palm trees in a remote location in Harlem. Somebody please check 145th and Lex for palm trees. Think I'm crazy? Need I remind you that this dude once drove around in a pink Barbie truck...

Bone Thugs are back at the No. 1 spot on the charts... and they got one message for all the bum ass rappers on the bottom: "I'm gonna miss everybody, I'm gonna miss everybody!"

Who's dumber on Three 6 Mafia's MTV show -- Big Triece or Computer? "No Joel Schumacher here." HAHA...

If Rob & Big could get a season two for their show, I could get a first season for mine. Their show ain't about sheeit...

How come Amerie's career isn't where Beyonce's is? Maybe because Ms. Amerie is just too nice.

I don't know where all this angst from Beanie Sigel toward Kanye is coming from. If memory serves me correct Kanye was working with Beanie all night in the studio, before infamously falling asleep at the wheel and nearly ending his life. So, what's Beanie's beef? If anything you would think Sig has the utmost respect for 'Ye. Well, they don't call him the Broad Street Bully for nothing...

I like the fact that LouWEEZYana is recording a mixtape with The Game. Real talk (and trust me) Weezy and The Game will create a better listening product than Weezy and Juelz, unless you like all that "A! A!" talk. Game is more of an MC...

For everyone that keeps saying Jay-Z fell off, perhaps they should pay a listen to his verse on Amy Winehouse's "Rehab" remix. On the remix Hov says, "Six pairs of kicks... my definition of 12 steps." How's that for a 12-step rehab program? Talk your shit Jigga a.k.a. the Blueprint (take notes Weezy)...

Ok, ok, ok... I'm done for the day. All comments are welcome. Your FIREMAN is back.
