The Trials & Tribulations Of AC #2

Published: Wednesday - May 9, 2007
Words by AC

On Friday April 20, 2007, after a long day of work, I finally got to take advantage of the holiday. Happy 4-20 everyone! God, do I miss college. It's around 11:30 PM, and if this was a year ago, I would already be 15 blunts in and would have already watched "Half Baked," "Animal House" and "Friday." We would have been knee deep in chicks and on our 10th case of brew. I might have to consider going back for my masters after all.

What's doing BallerStatus!? I'm Back for Volume 2 of The Trials & Tribulations of AC column. I want to start this one off by sending my condolences to the victims of Virginia Tech. I watched the video of the killer and at first I was like, "OK, let's hear what this self-righteous prick has to say."
After watching the footage, I thought to myself, "ASSHOLE your cause for murder holds no weight! You go to Virginia Tech! The tuition is close to 30,000 a year, you're in no place to kill rich people. I mean, come on your Asian! You have to be better with numbers than that!"

After a tragedy like this happens you almost feel foolish writing about things of less importance. However, the last couple of weeks have been very hectic, and stressful. I'm in the process of releasing my second mixtape/album and planning the release party. I am also working night and day trying to get everything situated with the venue and promoters. It turns out I have to plan the party around a few important guests, so I have to make sure there are no conflicts with schedules. Every little bit counts and I will not be caught out there with less than the best. You have a better chance of seeing George Bush show up at one of our soldier's funerals. The release is tentatively set for the end of May/ early June, so you know I will be going hard this summer.

Since we last spoke, I have visited Crack Distributors radio and WVOX 1490AM in New Rochelle with brand new producer Phoenix. Phoenix announced that he has just signed with Beast music (Producer Scram Jones' Label), and I see a bright future for the boy. We have been working together for a long time now, so it's great to see the progress. I collab'ed with him on two songs for the new tape, and you already know we brought that fire.

There will be a lot more information I will release in reference to the new project and party in the up coming weeks. As soon as I know, you will know. Thanks for coming along on my small, but very promising journey. We expect big things in the upcoming months.

Happy 25th Birthday to the boy John Shotti, we gonna do it up!!
