Listen, I mean listennnn... by now y'all should have heard 50 Cent's lead single, "Straight To The Bank," off his highly anticipated impending album, Curtis. I for one have always said if I could put any three cats on a song, I would put Jay-Z and Nas on the verses with 50 on the hook. Let's not get it twisted, 50 has hooks... for days, months and years. In my humble opinion, if 50 was still working with Game, the Compton rhyme spitter's The Documentary album would have moved more units. Everyone knows Game could rap his ass off, but some hooks are suspect. 50, on the other hand, is the man with his hooks. Look back at dude's catalog. He makes it look easy. His hooks are fairly simple too. "In Da Club," "Many Men" and even the sugary "Candy Shop" are all simple, but effective hooks. That said, while hearing, "Straight To The Bank," I had to make sure I was hearing right. If y'all are under a rock, listen to the song before reading the rest of my rant because after all, I'm just talking to y'all.

Ok, good, now that you heard the song, tell me this. Is this or is it not, the worst 50 hook we've heard in a minute. 'Fif... "I'm laughing straight to the bank with this" with Yayo chiming in with, "Hah Hah Hah Hah Haaah!?" That shit is gah-bage. 50, it ain't too late to yank back that single and just throw it out as a street record. I mean, your verses good (nothing crazy), but you're reaching with that hook. It's toooo simple. Tooo lazy, dog. Nobody wants to hear Yayo laughing on your hook, except maybe you, Yayo and Whoo Kid. I know Young Buck could do without hearing that. The Game's nostrils are probably flaring. Connecticut probably even thinks that sucks, homeboy. That hook is trash, brah. That said, have a beautiful Friday. It's your boy... signing off! Peace!
