Electronic Arts announced recently that a demo of the forthcoming "The Simpsons Game" is now available via Xbox Live and Playstation Network.
As the hype begins for the release of the game, the developers leak the demo to give gamers a chance to try out the game before it drops.

In a press release, the demo -- entitled Shadow of the Colossal Donut -- Springfield's (the cartoon's imaginary city) Lard Lad statue has come to life, after being shot by Kang and Kodos' Halloween ray.
Kent Brockman, Springfield's news anchor, provides play-by-play commentary from Chopper 7, while our heroes Homer and Bart try to work together, use their unique abilities, and bring this monstrous mechanical man to his knees.
"The Simpsons Game" is said to feature a hilarious, sprawling, and mind-busting storyline crafted by the TV show's Emmy Award-winning writers, as well as the full cast of voice actors from the TV show who will reprise their roles for the game.
It is slated to ship in Fall 2007, for PS3, PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii and DS gaming formats.
