Game developers Sierra Online have announced that they will give the public a free preview of their "Freestyle Street Basketball" PC game, free-of-charge for a limited time.
"FreeStyle Street Basketball" is a fast-paced massively multi-player online PC basketball game where players meet on virtual courts to challenge each other in a dynamic pick-up game environment, featuring music, fashions and gravity defying basketball moves.
The game's easy-to-learn controls allow players to master every move, from simple shots to crazy alley-oop dunks, using just four keys. Gamers have the ability to play 1-on-1, 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 street basketball online against people from around the country.
The game, which already has more than 30 million registered players in Asia, will be available on retail shelves and via digital distribution May 15.

Sierra Online has also partnered with G-Unit members to create the sound of the game. Lloyd Banks was chosen to create the official theme song for the game with a song titled "Go Hard Or Go Home," which explains the ideology of street basketball.
"I jumped at the chance to create an exclusive song for 'FreeStyle Street Basketball', especially since hip-hop has always been relevant in the street basketball culture," said Lloyd Banks. "I'm always playing video games, so to have the opportunity to record the theme song for a game is crazy."
Famed producer Sha Money XL, whose producing credits include 50 Cent, Tupac and Lloyd Banks, is creating seven exclusive beats for the game and producing the Lloyd Banks and Young Hot Rod tracks.
In related news, Sierra Online has announced a partnership with Marc Ecko Enterprises to bring their apparel brand to the highly anticipated "FreeStyle Street Basketball." Ecko Unltd., Ecko Red, G-Unit Clothing, Avirex and Zoo York gear is currently available for FreeStyle Street Basketball player.
Gamers will have the ability to outfit their characters with branded collectible shirts, hoodies, jackets, button-ups, denim, warm up gear and a variety of other items. After the game launches this spring, new items will be released on a monthly basis to allow players to have the latest styles as they advance their street-ball skills on the virtual court.

"The entire Ecko line-up is an ideal fit with the style and hip factor found in FreeStyle Street Basketball," said Ed Zobrist, President of Sierra Online. "By incorporating the Ecko brands in the game, we're giving players the ability to constantly update their online personas with the latest trends popping up on real courts around the country."
