Former NBA All-Star and New York Knicks legend, John Starks, has recently announced a partnership with athletic apparel line, ZipWay, launching with introductory piece is a technologically-advanced, all-weather breakaway pant that provides a fast, smooth, easy release.

Created by Daron Nunn, ZipWay was designed to fill the space for a high performance, fashionable breakaway pant. He recognized that traditional snap breakaway pants didn't work, so he worked effortlessly to create his own.

"They let cold air in, often don't unsnap completely, and the snaps would break off after a tug," explains Nunn. "What people needed was a breakaway that was easy to get off, easy to put back on, that they could wear in all kinds of weather."

Starks was so impressed with the new pants, he wanted in. He feels the new product will "change the game." "ZipWay is completely new. They look great, they're fast, and they work," said Starks. "I wish they'd been around when I was playing. They're changing the game!"

ZipWay pants fasten using Velcro tabs, which securely keep the pants in place. When the tabs are released, the pants zip away from the body in 0.3 seconds -- fast enough to get in the game at a moment's notice. Because the pant unzips from both ends, they are perfect in warm weather as they can be unzipped from the top to let air in. On cold days the patented zippers keep the cold air out.

The pants come in small, medium, large, x-large and xx-large. They are made of breathable fabric and the spring 2007 collection comes in the following colors: navy/white, black/black, white/carolina blue, red/white and white/black.

They retail for $49.99 and be available exclusively in Footlocker.

Zipway also offers sport watches, t-shirts and caps.
