After unveiling the title back in January, Lucasfilm has rolled out the first teaser for the next installment in the Star Wars franchise, The Last Jedi.

The two-minute sneak peek of Rian Johnson's follow-up to the J.J. Abrams-directed The Force Awakens premiered Friday (April 13) during the Star Wars Celebration event in Orlando, FL.

It opens with Rey in full Jedi training mode with Luke Skywalker, who she finally found in the final scene of The Force Awakens Luke (Mark Hamill) narrates, telling Rey to close her eyes and breathe, as she finally realizes what "The Force" is. "Light, darkness... the balance... it's so much bigger," she replies, when Luke asks what she sees.

From there, we're teased footage of epic battles between The First Order and the Rebels, as well as brief glimpses at ex-stormtrooper Finn (John Boyega) and X-wing pilot Poe (Oscar Isaac), as well as Kylo Ren.

It then closes out with a cryptic statement from Luke. "I only know one truth. It's time for the Jedi to end."

What does that mean? Well, we'll have to wait until December, when The Last Jedi hits theaters.

In addition to the trailer, Lucasfilm also unveiled a new poster, which you can check out below.
